Job Profile:
- Understand the Production requirement based on schedule from customers
- Determine the resources needed to meet production schedules
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for raw materials, consumables, spares and capital items from local as well as overseas vendors.
- Monitor scheduled deliveries from vendors
- Storage of raw materials, consumables and finished goods
- Manage and monitor inventory to ensure lowest possible inventory levels while maintaining highest availability of material
- Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers;
- Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them;
- Monthly physical inventory counting & reconciliation.
- Ensuring no line stoppage due to material shortage.
- Monitoring vendor performance and delivery status.
- Improve delivery time, cost and quality of materials from vendors
- Data processing and entering the transactions into ERP systems (Tally, SAP)
- Preparing Invoice, DC, GRN, ASN, Gate pass.
- Issue of materials to the production with proper accounting system.
- Maintaining logistic management (outbound & inbound).
- To ensure all ISO compliance is completed like FIFO, Shelf-Life etc.
- Maintain the minimum stock level of regular moving materials.
- Implementation of 5S in stores.
- Arrange for disposal of surplus and scrap materials.
- Should have strong communication and negotiation skills.

Educational Qualification:
- B.E in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
|
Required job experience:
- More than 3 years of experience in Purchase and Stores activities (preferably in hydraulic component manufacturing / automobile industry)
- Working experience in SAP / Tally.
